EPA InBrief series for 2006-2007
Developed in collaboration with the Technical Centre for Agriculture and Rural Cooperation ACP-EU (CTA), the InBrief series on economic partnership agreements (EPAs) provides trade negotiators, policy-makers, officials, experts and other relevant non-state actors with key insights into the main issues faced by the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries and regions in their trade negotiations with the European Union (EU). Each EPA InBrief focuses on a specific topic and identifies a range of options that could be considered during the EPA negotiations.
The aim of the EPA InBrief series is to identify the key issues at stake within the various chapters of the EPAs being negotiated between the EU and six ACP regional groupings. Each InBrief addresses one area, offering an overview of the trade or trade-related provisions, highlighting their relevance for the ACP and identifying a range of policy options for the negotiations.
The EPA InBriefs are complemented by the EU FTA InBrief series comparing EU free-trade agreements (FTAs), which provide a synthesis of the relevant chapters of ten free-trade agreements recently concluded by the EU with developing countries.
The InBriefs are available online at http://www.acp-eu-trade.org/, http://www.ecdpm.org/ and http://agritrade.cta.int/ |
