Overview of Regional EPA Negotiations InBrief series for 2006-2008
The purpose of this InBrief series is to allow a wide range of ACP and EU stakeholders to have a clear overview of the structure, phasing, key challenges and main developments in the negotiations of economic partnership agreements (EPAs) of each of the six ACP negotiating regions: the Caribbean, West Africa, Central Africa, East and Southern Africa, Southern Africa, and the Pacific. For each ACP regional grouping, reference is made to other international trade negotiations and their regional processes of economic integration. In addition, each InBrief will be complemented by a regular update that summarises the current state of negotiations.
The ECDPM acknowledges the generous support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sweden and the Netherlands for the production of this series.
Other contributions related to the EPA negotiations include the Negotiating EPA InBrief series and the Comparing EU FTA InBriefs series. These InBriefs are available online at www.acp-eu-trade.org and www.ecdpm.org/regionalepainbriefs.
This Overview of Regional EPA Negotiations InBrief series is an ECDPM initiative under the editorial supervision of Sanoussi Bilal (sb@ecdpm.org) and Kathleen van Hove (mailto:kvh@ecdpm.org).
Currently regular updates on the regions are published on the www.acp-eu-trade.org: EPA Negotiations: Where do we stand? - Regular Updates! |
